Julie Lepianka is a Certified Nurse Educator and public speaker who specializes in preparing future nurses to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Professor Lepianka has developed numerous collaborative relationships with university colleagues as well as health care professionals in the community. These partnerships have led to the development of very unique opportunities for experiential learning and self-reflection for her students. In addition, she is currently engaged in research including the following topics: spiritual care competency, therapeutic communication, and the value of self-reflection in education and health care.

 

Professor Lepianka has extensive experience in public speaking. She has presented on a variety of topics including- compassion, spiritual care, interprofessional collaboration, and addiction, to numerous  institutions and organizations.
